1. Company HR Department

After becoming a PR, it's important to inform your company's human resources department promptly. Provide them with a copy of your Entry Permit to update your identity information. Subsequently, your company will start contributing to your Central Provident Fund (CPF) on a monthly basis.


2. SingPass

Upon obtaining PR status, your previous SingPass ID becomes obsolete. Your new SingPass ID is your identification number. Within 2-3 working days post-PR issuance, you'll receive a password letter. Use the original password to log in to the new SingPass, and you can also customize your password.


3. Other Information

Upon attaining PR, government agencies such as the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA), Central Provident Fund Board (CPF), Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), Singapore Police Force (SPF), and Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) will automatically update your PR information. However, personal items like insurance policies, utility bills, and telecom cards require manual updating.


4. Most Important Reminder!

For those with children applying for PR alongside them, it's imperative to promptly update their personal information with the school or Ministry of Education (MOE). The difference in tuition fees between PRs and foreigners is significant.
