In Singapore, if the parents are foreign nationals, such as EP/SP/Entrepass/PR/citizens, what status can the child hold?


Father/Mother is EP (Employment Pass)

1) If the monthly salary of a parent exceeds $6000, they can apply for a DP for unmarried children under the age of 21 (including legally adopted children).

2) Parents with a monthly salary exceeding $6000 can apply for LTVP for unmarried disabled children over 21 years old.

3) If the monthly salary of the parent exceeds $6000, they can apply for LTVP for unmarried stepchildren under the age of 21.


Father/Mother is SP (S Pass)

1) If the monthly salary of a parent exceeds $6000, they can apply for a DP for unmarried children under the age of 21 (including legally adopted children).

2) Parents with a monthly salary exceeding $6000 can apply for LTVP for unmarried disabled children over 21 years old.

3) If the monthly salary of the parent exceeds $6000, they can apply for LTVP for unmarried stepchildren under the age of 21.


Father/Mother is Entrepass 

a. The company has been operating for one year;
b. Hire 3 local ordinary employees, or hire 1 PME (professional, manager, executive, etc.);
c. Cost reaches SGD 100000

Parents who meet the above conditions can apply for DP for unmarried children under the age of 21 (including legally adopted children).


Father/Mother is PR

1) Parents can apply for PR for unmarried children under the age of 21 who are legally married or adopted.

2) Parents can apply for LTVP for unmarried children under the age of 21 who are legally married or adopted.


Father/Mother is SC

1) Parents can apply for PR for unmarried children under the age of 21 who are legally married or adopted.

2) Parents can apply for citizenship for unmarried children under the age of 21 who are legally married or adopted.
